How to fix the error message “Your organization’s data cannot paste here”

Introduction

If you’re trying to copy and paste data from your organization into a field on a website, you might get an error message like “your organization’s data cannot paste here” or “This data cannot be pasted into this website.” This error message can be frustrating as you try to figure out how to fix it. However, there are a few ways that you can fix the issue:

1. Refresh the page

If your page is new, you probably don’t have any old data on it. Try refreshing the page (usually by clicking the Refresh button or pressing F5 on your keyboard) or go to a different website and try to copy and paste again.

2. Clear cache of your browser

By default, Internet Explorer and Chrome browsers store some information about websites in their cache so that they can quickly display a website when you visit it again. This information can include this error message if the site isn’t working. To clear the cache of your browser, open your Internet Options and go to the Temporary Internet Files section. Next to “temporary internet files” click Clear or Delete.

3. Edit permissions for your IMAP account on the server

The IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a standards-based protocol that provides access to email messages from a mailbox from any device, anywhere in the world. On Windows, you can configure your exchange server setup to use a specific port to talk to this server. If you are experiencing issues with data being imported into the portal, it may be that you do not have the correct permissions for your IMAP service on this port.

4. Clear browser cache and cookies

Sometimes the error message appears because of an issue with your browser updating information on its cache or cookies. Open the browser and go to Tools > Internet Options > General. Click “Delete” under “Browsing History” and then click OK. After the page updates, you can try copying and pasting again.

5. Check for minimum requirements for your organization’s site/apps

Some organizations have specific requirements for their website that may be outside of what your computer is able to support. The site may require Internet Explorer 11 or might have specific fonts that need to be installed on your system. Check with the help desk regarding any minimum requirements and install any missing programs if available.

6. Use a different browser to access the content from your organization

When unable to copy and paste on android, you can use any other browser with Android version 4.4 or higher. This helps in troubleshooting the IMEI field or any other fields that might be giving you problems when trying to paste data.

7. Use the Archive feature instead of copy and paste

You can use the Archive feature on your Android device instead of copying and pasting content from your organization. this feature allows you to save content directly to your notes for you to access later.

8. Check the Sync Status of your Google account(s)

Sometimes, resetting the sync status of your Google account can fix the error message while copy and pasting. To do this, go to the menu and select “Settings” then “Accounts” then select the account you are using , Tap on the three dot menu for primary account and choose “Reset Sync”.
